Who we work with

Accounting that fits your industry

Whether you run a growing small business, a fast-moving tech company, a CPA practice, or you just need your own return done properly, we have the experience and the pricing to match. What changes by vertical is the bundle, not the standard.

Veris Financials works with four groups: small businesses across retail, trades and professional services; tech companies and startups; individuals filing personal returns; and CPA firms outsourcing client delivery. The underlying services are the same seven; what changes by group is which of them are bundled and the technical detail inside them.

Small businesses

Retail, trades, professional services and consumer businesses across the US, UK and Canada. The whole finance function, without a finance hire.

Most small businesses do not need a full-time bookkeeper; they need someone to close the month and tell them what it means. We reconcile, close, file, and flag the things worth a conversation.

The usual bundle

  • Monthly bookkeeping
  • Payroll
  • Sales and use tax
  • Business tax returns
  • Year-end close

Tech companies and startups

SaaS revenue recognition, deferred revenue schedules, R&D cost tracking and investor-ready reporting for teams that are scaling faster than their finance function.

Deferred revenue handled correctly from the start, R&D costs tracked so the credit study is not archaeology, and board reporting that holds up in a diligence process.

The usual bundle

  • Deferred revenue schedules
  • R&D cost tracking
  • Investor reporting
  • Fractional CFO
  • Payroll across states

Individuals

Personal tax preparation for W-2 earners, self-employed filers, visa holders and people with genuinely complicated returns. Flat fees, published.

Flat-fee returns with the price agreed before we start. Including the returns other preparers turn away: non-resident, treaty position, multi-state and back-year filings.

The usual bundle

  • Form 1040
  • Form 1040-NR
  • Schedule C and E
  • Multi-state returns
  • Treaty and FICA refund claims

CPA firms

White-label delivery for accounting practices. Your brand on the work, our team behind it, and a US-managed review layer before anything reaches you.

Capacity without headcount. We work to your standards and your templates, your clients never hear from us, and you keep the relationship and the margin.

The usual bundle

  • White-label bookkeeping
  • Tax preparation support
  • Payroll processing
  • Year-end close
  • Books cleanup

Questions about fit

Do you specialize in one industry?

No, and any firm claiming to specialize in eight verticals at once is describing a marketing page rather than a practice. What changes by industry is the bundle and the technical detail: deferred revenue for SaaS, multi-state sales tax for retail, treaty positions for individuals. The team and the review standard stay the same.

We are in an industry not listed here. Can you still help?

Almost certainly. The four groups on this page cover most of our client base, not the limit of it. If your accounting has a genuinely unusual technical requirement, tell us on the call and we will say plainly whether it is inside our competence.

Can you handle a business operating in more than one country?

Yes. Cross-border work between the US, UK and Canada is routine for us, including UK entities with US subsidiaries and the reverse. We prepare in all three jurisdictions rather than subcontracting one of them out.

Not sure which of these you are?

Plenty of businesses sit across two of them. Book a free 30-minute call and we will work out the right bundle with you.
